Do You also Suffer from Intimate Discomforts?

Intimate discomforts such as dryness, burning, and urinary incontinence can occur also during pre-menopause or after childbirth. The main cause is often atrophic vaginitis: a disease that can adversely affect your life and your relationship with your partner. Among the women suffering from it:

75 % reported that vaginal atrophy negatively impacts their lives
63 % failed to recognize vaginal atrophy as a chronic condition
44 % report that they did not consult a gynecologist to find a solution
4 % only recognized the common symptoms of vaginal atrophy

MonaLisa Touch® The new laser therapy for the prevention and care of your vaginal health

MonaLisa Touch® is a functional Intimate rejuvenation treatment based on a special fractional CO2 laser created for the vaginal mucosa.

MonaLisa Touch® prevents and resolves estrogen drops in the vaginal tissue (typically occurring during menopause or after childbirth) by re-activating the production of new collagen and reestablishing the conditions that the vaginal mucosa once had.

MonaLisa Touch® is now the most effective non-surgical and non-pharmacological solution for preventing and treating vaginal atrophy and its after-effects, which many women suffer from during menopause and after childbirth.

How it works

Fractional laser: a combination of maximum effectiveness without side effects or pain.

The CO2 laser gently acts on the vaginal walls through a special scanner, creating indistinguishable micro-lesions that are required for triggering a neocollagenesis process (production of new collagen) and reorganizing and re-equilibrating the components of the vaginal mucosa.

The laser’s action therefore safely and painlessly reactivates and reestablishes the proper function of the relative urogenital structures while also improving the symptoms associated with urinary dysfunction (mild incontinence due to stress).

A tissue regeneration process lasting numerous weeks is triggered, but stimulation occurs immediately and significant improvements can be seen even after the first treatment.

The results: complete tissue regeneration starting from the first treatment

The mucosa tissue thus becomes more nourished and hydrated and the epithelium becomes thicker, more toned (vaginal tightening), and elastic. It also reestablishes the correct vaginal pH, which helps maintain its natural protective barrier and reduces the risk of infection. One simple treatment lasting only a few minutes, without pain, side effects, or recovery time, can give the tissue the tone and elasticity it once had, positively affecting one’s quality of life and personal relationships.

Vaginal discomforts
Problems that are often neglected significantly impact the quality of life.

Atrophic vaginitis
The drop in estrogen that comes with menopause or even during breastfeeding after delivery causes a series of problems that severely impact one’s social life and personal relationships. Among the most bothersome problems is atrophic vaginitis, which is the lack of nourishment and hydration of the cells of the vaginal mucosa. This condition causes a progressive thinning of the vaginal and vulvar mucosa, becoming more delicate, sensitive, and more exposed to trauma.

Vaginal dryness, burning, and being constantly bothered are a result of atrophic vaginitis, which is often not spoken about because some consider it a natural consequence during menopause and after childbirth. Thanks to innovative laser techniques, this problem can be prevented and resolved safely and painlessly.

Pain during sexual intercourse (dyspareunia)
One after-effect of atrophic vaginitis is dyspareunia – pain during sexual intercourse. An atrophic vagina is thin, fragile, lacks elasticity, and is dry and unlubricated. This causes pain during sexual intercourse with a series of negative consequences regarding the couple’s relationship, which lead to a lack of sexual desire and uneasy feelings during intimate moments with your partner.

Dyspareunia can also be caused by pain in the perineal region caused by scarring of the episiotomy or after a laceration from a spontaneous delivery.

Understanding the cause of the pain and using the latest generation laser treatment on the tissue is now the most effective way of resolving this symptom.

Urinary incontinence
This is one of the most common feminine problems in women over 35, severely compromising their quality of life. There are various types and levels: from stress (laughing or coughing, lifting weight), urgency (involuntary loss of urine due to lack of control of the urination stimulus by the brain), mixed (incontinence from a combination of stress and urinary imperiosity) or from reflux (occurs when the bladder is so full that the internal pressure is greater than that of the urethra).

Embarrassment and shame prevent one from facing the problem, which one often bears with resignation, but now there are state-of-the-art and minimally invasive treatments to help resolve this problem.*

* Urinary incontinence is a complex problem that requires careful diagnosis by your doctor before being treated.
